Senior Programs Administrator of Data Management

Summary:

The Senior Program Administrator oversees the efficient daily operations of the Cancer Center. The position maintains the confidentiality of privileged information and performs a wide range of duties that require tact, sensitivity, independent judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and flexibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages Cancer Center trainee tracking (i.e. demographics and outcomes-where they are now); creating surveys.

• Manages T32 applicant tracking and management, this includes assisting with data for applications.

• Oversees the tracking of participation in: 1) educational and training activities, 2) recruitment activities, 3) events (seminar series, open houses, etc.), and 4) translational pipeline.

• Works with Cancer Center leadership on Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) annual non-competing renewals and the competing continuation renewals; this includes data tables and grant statistics.

• Administers and tracks the Cancer Center’s pilot projects and their outcomes.

• Develops processes for efficient operations, including databases and other systems to track information and generate reports as needed

• Manages Cancer Center membership data.

• Collaborates with HR for incorporating staff metrics.

• Publication compliance and tracking for CC faculty; working closely with SBP librarian.

• Additional administrative tasks as necessary.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of progressively responsible operations experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge, skill, and abilities have been attained required.

• Experience with NCI-designated Cancer Center administration or managing large collaborative grants preferred.

• Experience with research administration, including preparation of grant proposals, funding agency requirements, and budgets preferred.

Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

• Knowledge and ability to interpret grant requirements/regulations and funding agency guidelines.

• Ability to maintain a calm and composed demeanor, exercising sound professional judgment and absolute discretion to address sensitive issues effectively.

• Effectively and diplomatically communicates with all levels of management, administrative and scientific staff among internal and external institutions.

• Ability to use sound judgment in determining and managing competing priorities.

• Works independently with minimal supervision and under strict deadlines while managing a variety of projects of various complexities.

• Possesses strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills, excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, professional proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed

Compensation:

The expected Hiring Range for this position is $77,969 - $95,000/year commensurate will skills and experience.
